The UK has a rich history of staycation holidays even before the pandemic, which is not surprising considering the beautiful coastlines and stunning countryside we have to offer here in the UK.
From the Highlands of Scotland to the beaches of Cornwall, to the mountains and lakes in the Lake District, Cumbria, and the waterways of the Norfolk Broads, it’s no wonder so many people want to own holiday properties at their favourite destination here in the UK. We are spoilt for choice!
The UK also lays claim to a number of world heritage sites including Stonehenge. If you are looking to tempt holidaymakers into letting out your holiday home, being near to a world heritage site, or an area of outstanding natural beauty is bound to draw more interest.
According to Suffolk Building Society “Over 10 million UK adults consider becoming a holiday let landlord”. Resulting in 6% of said UK adults actually seeing the whole process through and becoming proud landlords of UK holiday homes.
The benefit of this to the enviroment and the UK economy cannot be underestimated, and a trend that will hopefully continue long after the return of British holidaymakers traveling abroad.
